The exposium in the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam-Noord will be a day full of dynamic presentations, work sessions and dialogue in the field of research in the arts with a specific theme of dissemination.
What kind of alternative forms of presenting and sharing artistic research are there? How do these forms relate to the research process and to the “new” knowledge that artistic research can yield? How can we achieve even more visibility and appreciation for the artistic and social impact that art research can have by sharing it in different forms of expression?
We are especially looking forward to the contribution of keynote speaker Dr. Danny Butt who gladly accepted our invitation. He is an Associate Director (Research) at Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, where he also coordinates programs in the field of Social Practice and Community Engagement. In 2017 he published the book “Artistic Research in the Future Academy”.
Furthermore with contributions from professorships of ArtEZ, Academie Minerva, Avans, BUas, Codarts, HKU, Hogeschool Zuyd and Willem de Kooning Academy.
DIS_SEMINAR is for anyone who is active as a researcher, policy officer or supporter in the field of dissemination, or as a (future) artist and wants to contribute to a visible and meaningful research environment at art colleges. Admission is free. The program is in English.
The location has limited capacity, and this event is FULLY BOOKED. We can put you on the waiting list via this link.
