Last winter, the platform Kunst ≈ Onderzoek published an open call amongst our members on the topic of ethics. We received no less than six project plans, all with inspiring and enthusiastic ideas. The project idea by the Willem de Kooning Academie has been selected!
Florian Cramer, Miriam Rasch and Harma Staal are organizing a three-part workshop series on ethical questions among students and researchers, focusing on ethical attitudes and subjects that ask for ethical consideration. The workshops will form the basis for a poster that can be folded into a zine, that will be distributed to all participants and others who are interested.
The first workshop will take place on June 4th at the Research Station of the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, and will focus on ethical attitudes: what does it mean to have an ethical attitude within artistic research and how do you train it? Topics include intellectual property, ethical exceptionalism and integrity and positioning.
Location: Research Station, Willem de Kooning (Wijnhaven 61, 3011 HJ Rotterdam)
Date: June 4th, 2025
Time: 12:00 – 17:00 hours (including lunch and drinks)
